Panasonic, HP, Facebook, Adobe y Google Ganan Premios AIE Visionary Awards.

Las Vegas, Nv. – El estreno de la recepcion AIE Visionary Awards , presentado por Association of Imaging Executives en el Centro de Convenciones de Las Vegas el 8 de enero de 2015, reconocieron innovación y excelencia en imágenes.
La Asociación de  Imaging Executives, es una asociación de PMA, cual ayuda a los ejecutivos de imagen y líderes de la industria hacer conexiones estratégicas para avanzar en el uso rentable de nuevas tecnologías de la imagen.

“Los Premios AIE Visionary Awards, son un símbolo de un nuevo PMA”, según la gerente general dePMA Georgia McCabe. “Ambos reconocen el pasado y miran hacia el futuro de la fotografía.”

“Estos premios promueven todo lo mejor que la industria de imagen tiene que ofrecer”,coincidió el presidente AIE Glenn Paul. “Poniendo de relieve los productos y tecnologías más innovadores e importantes es el primer paso hacia nuestro objetivo de reunir a diferentes partes de la industria de la imagen.

“Panasonic, HP, Facebook, Adobe, and Google win AIE Visionary Awards

Las Vegas, Nev. — The debut AIE Visionary Awards Reception, presented by the Association of Imaging Executives (AIE) at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 8, 2015, recognized innovation and excellence in imaging.

The Association of Imaging Executives is a PMA member association that helps imaging executives and industry leaders make strategic connections to advance the profitable use of new imaging technologies.

“The AIE Visionary Awards are symbolic of the new PMA,” says PMA CEO Georgia McCabe. “It both recognizes the past and looks into the future of photography.”

“These awards promote the best the imaging industry has to offer,” agreed AIE President Glenn Paul. “Spotlighting the most inventive and important products and technologies is a first step towards our goal of bringing together differing parts of the imaging industry.”

PMA imaging analyst Paul Worthington organized the event and hosted the reception, welcoming famed photographer Joe McNally, who gave a touching and informative discussion on the importance of preserving our pictures, illustrated with some great shots from his 30-year career. Then HP Senior Architect Bob Taylor showed Link, the company’s new foray into interactive imaging triggered by printed output.

Mylio founder and former Microsoft chief technical officer David Vaskevitch was recognized as an imaging visionary for his work on accessing, organizing, and protecting photographs with his start-up company’s new software.

Worthington and Paul then presented the AIE Visionary Award winners in five categories:

• Panasonic won the Cameras & Capture category for its work using 4k video for still photography.
• The Sharing & Social Imaging award went to Facebook for its new research in facial recognition.
• Adobe led the votes in Software & Apps for its advanced image enhancement tools.
• The victory in Printing & Output went to HP Indigo’s latest and greatest photo press.
• Google’s Project Tango for capturing interior spaces in full 3D was named top Future Imaging Visionary technology.

The other nominees included Ricoh, DJI, Instagram, Snapchat, Apple, Mylio, Athentech, Magisto, Mixbook, MediaClip, Artec Group, Jaunt, Oculus Rift, Orbeus, and Samsung.
