Nikon actualiza su gama de cámaras réflex digitales más económica con la D5300, una cámara que destaca por su rediseñado sensor de imagen. La primera SLR de Nikon con receptor GPS integrado, y conectividad WiFi.

La DSLR cuenta en su interior con un sensor DX (APS-C) de 24 megapíxeles – sin filtro de paso bajo -, posiblemente estemos ante el mismo que usa la D7100, o una versión del mismo. El procesador encargado de gestionar todo los procesos de imagen es un Expeed 4, que presume de poder realizar ráfagas de cinco imágenes por segundo.

Uno de los puntos fuertes de la D5200 es su reducido tamaño para lo que ofrece, pues la D5300 es si cabe más pequeña (125 × 98 × 76 mm, 480 gramos). Sin embargo ha habido espacio para incluir una pantalla de mayores dimensiones – pasa de 3 a 3,2 pulgadas – que además es abatible y articulable. El visor óptico tiene una cobertura del 95%.

New camera launches this month for under $1,400

Nikon is introducing its first DSLR with built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, the D5300. The new camera is an update to the D5200, and will take its place as Nikon’s top-of-the-line camera for the beginner DSLR market. It also includes a larger, 3.2-inch articulating display; a new image-processing engine; and no low-pass filter on the camera’s DX-format sensor, which should result in sharper images.

The camera promises impressive low-light performance with an ISO range of 100 to 12,800 that is expandable to ISO 25,600. The camera also has a built-in scene recognition system able to analyze and recognize the scene and make adjustments in exposure, autofocus, and white balance for the highest quality photos possible.

The D5300 uses a 39-point autofocus system and can shoot bursts at five frames per second using the optical viewfinder or the 3.2” variable angle Live View rear LCD.

D5300 kit using an AF-S DX Nikkor 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens will launch  for $1399.95 and  comes in black, red, or gray colors.
