Workshop – Part of Exposure Weekend 2019

This workshop provides you an intimate hands-on experience for learning the skills and practice of producing great street photography. Julia Dean will show and demonstrate her personal approach for seeing, composing and capturing images of the theater of the street. Exploring Venice Beach, she will demonstrate the importance of developing a way of seeing and using light, slowly building your composition and working a scene. The approach will allow you to refine even the busiest scenes into the basic elements of a great photograph. Participants will meet and talk briefly before heading to Venice Beach together.

The first hour of this workshop will take place at Hotel MdR. The remainder of the class will be spent photographing in Venice Beach. Designed for photographers of all levels.
